Course Overview

ACE

A-Level

A-Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) is a curriculum offered by British international schools, part of the UK national education system. It represents the advanced level of the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams and serves as the university entrance qualification for UK students

Course Difficulty

A-Level courses do not impose strict requirements on subject selection, nor do they mandate participation in extracurricular activities. Compared to other international curricula, A-Level is generally slightly less challenging

However, as A-Level gains wider recognition, competition is becoming increasingly intense, making it essential for students to achieve higher academic results

TOEFL / IELTS

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) are internationally recognized English proficiency tests. They assess the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills of non-native English speakers and serve as key language requirements for applying to overseas universities. These tests are widely accepted by institutions in countries including the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia

Course Difficulty

TOEFL and IELTS courses focus on comprehensive language development, requiring strong vocabulary, grammar foundations, and academic English skills. TOEFL leans more toward academic contexts, while IELTS is closer to real-life and study environments. Overall difficulty depends on the student’s English proficiency, but achieving high scores (e.g., TOEFL 100+ / IELTS 7.0+) requires long-term, systematic training and skill development

AP

AP (Advanced Placement) is a college-level program in the United States, administered by the College Board, designed to offer high school students university-level courses. Students can demonstrate their academic abilities through AP exams, and some scores may be eligible for college credit

Course Difficulty

AP courses emphasize academic depth and critical thinking, with overall high difficulty, especially in STEM subjects (e.g., AP Calculus, AP Physics) and certain humanities courses. Students generally need strong English proficiency and solid subject foundations, while balancing GPA and multiple AP courses, requiring excellent time management and learning skills
